In the current modern life, digitalization has been applied to many lives. The purpose is to make human daily life easier, including efficiency and effectiveness. This fact has been acknowledged by Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar).
The currently existing phenomenon in university life related to academic life has put forward the pressure for the availability of academic books that can support learning activities. Especially for students, academic books can be an additional source of knowledge so that the development of their knowledge does not only come from classroom learning. The supporting books needed by students are often hard to come by, in addition to their high cost.
Therefore, Unpar features the facility of e-books from a Germany-based publisher, namely Springer. Through the SpringerLink database, Unpar students, lecturers and staffs can access Springer published books with no charge. There are 9 accessible categories, namely: Behavioral Science, Chemistry Material Science, Computer Science, Earth Environmental Science, Energy, Engineering, Humanities social science and Law, Mathematics Statistics, and Physics Anatomy. In the future, Unpar will strive to provide similar activities to support Learning activities as well as ability development of lecturers and students.
