The FTIS (Faculty of Information Technology and Sciences) Parahyangan Catholic University’s 22nd Anniversary was held on April 21, 2015 in the number 10 Building of Parahyangan Catholic University. It was opened with speeches by from the head of the Organizing Committee, Iwan Sugiarto, S.Si, M.Si, then followed by another by the Dean of Faculty of Information Technology and Sciences, Paulus Cahyono Tjiang., Ph.D. the event’s theme was “Lubang Hitam: Sebuah Contoh Peluang Kontribusi FTIS UNPAR dalam Sains Fundamental” (Black Hole: a possibility of FTIS UNPAR’s contribution to fundamental science) by Dr. Haryanto M. Siahaan.
The 22nd anniversary also coincided with the launching of the book “ AFFIN SHAPE: ASHAPE, Panduan Matematika – Fisika – Teknik Informatika” (AFFIN SHAPE: ASHAPE, a guide book for Mathematics, Physics, Information Technology) by Prof. Benedictus Suprapto Brotosiswodjo, Ph.D. It was hoped that this book launching may enrich the understanding of science specifically that ofMathematics, Physics, Information Technology of society at large.
Awards for academic and non-academic students’ achievements were also presented at the event. The event was concluded with candle blowing and prayers.
