The rapidly changing and developing environment has made Risk Manah an important science nowadays. This notion was presented by Triyana Iskandarsyah, Dra., M.Si. (Head of Management Study Program) in her opening remarks at the Risk Management Competition and National Seminar 2015 with the theme “Delivering Value through Integrated Risk Management and Governance” that was held on Saturday (21/11) on the 8th floor of building 9 of Parahyangan Catholic University. The Risk Management Competition and National Seminar 2015 have been routinely hosted since 2011, and has evolved into a better format every year the event was hosted. This national seminar invited Dr. Antonius Alijoyo (Principal Center of Management Risk Studies Indonesia) as the keynote speaker.
Dr. Antonius Alijoyo underlined 5 principles of company management, namely: Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, Independence, and Fairness. The five principles are required for a company to achieve sustainable growth and balanced stakeholders’ value.
The rapidly developing time has forced a company to hold on and develop. The seminar’s participants who were mostly students, are expected to become decision makers within a company to avoid crises for the company.
The event was opened by a traditional art performance of dancing and Rampak Kendang from the students of the 5th Christian Junior High School BPK Penabur Bandung. The same students also performed as choir between sessions.
The group presentation entering the competition was divided into twelve parallel classes. The twelve groups that entered the competition are the winners of the previous selection process from dozens of groups.
