Parahyangan Catholic University Ash Wednesday Mass

Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the pre-Easter period, the period of fasting and atonement that lasts for forty days. The marking of the forehead with ash is the symbol of spritual atonement. The Ash Wednesday celebration reminds us of our mortal existence as God’s creation in the world and although our body will turn back to ash, our soul will go to God.

The Ash Wednesday Mass was lead by Father Fabianus Sebastian Heatubun, pr., Drs., SLL. The massage in the sermon is for us as human being to embody this pre-Easter period by putting ourselves close to God, to make us whole as human when we are able to surrender all our problems to God.
