Parahyangan Catholic University’s Faculty of Economics’ 60th Anniversary was held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Hall of the Faculty of Economics of Parahyangan Catholic University. The anniversary oratio (speech) entitled “Peranan Pendidikan Tinggi Dalam Pengembangan Berkelanjutan” (The Role of Higher Education in Sustainable Development) was delivered by Sandra Sunanto, Ph.D.
In her speech, the speaker overviewed the crucial role of education in sustainable development. She also conveyed the current pressure on higher education to apply the concepts of university management, campus society, the curriculum, and the teaching learning process. She then specifically conveyed the role of the Faculty of Economics of Parahyangan Catholic University which has contributed over the last 60 years by producing graduates who are able to maintain sustainable development with both national and international achievements.
