The Diploma III of the Management Study Program of Parahyangan Catholic University (D3MP Unpar) held an Open House event at the Unpar Campus, on Jalan Merdeka, on Saturday (24/3). The main agenda item for this event, which was e-sport competition -The Mobile Legend’s online game competition was joined by participants from various competitions in Bandung City as well as the D3MP Unpar student business exhibition. The business enterprises that appeared varied, (ranging from culinary to fashion) also enlivened the Open House event.
Joko Satrio and Anggi Setiawan, Bandung students from Palembang, were thrilled to join the competition for the first time with their team. Both are now studying for a Bachelor’s (S-1) degree at one of the universities in Bandung.
When asked why he’s interested in joining the Mobile Legend competition, Joko revealed that he wished to try, “I Want to test our teamwork.” Each team in the competition consists of five people. “Mobile Legend is about the strength of the team so we always hone the teamwork,” Anggi added.
In addition, both intend to spend leisure time, to simply refresh and look for fun . Previously, Joko was present at Unpar’s student event at Ciumbuleuit Campus while for Anggi it was the first time he visited Unpar.
“I (Hope) we may meet new friends later,” said the two who are currently working on their final project lectures.
Elected as the winner of Mobile Legend competition, was the team from BPK Penabur 1 Bandung. The 1st Winner was entitled to the prize of google voucher of 1 million rupiah and 2nd Winner received a google play voucher worth 500 thousand rupiah.
On the same occasion, Daniel, a student of the D3MP class of 2017 who participated as one of the tenants selling drinks, revealed his impression at the Open House event. It was the first time, he tried to open a coffee business . The advantage of this product, he told the Publication Team was that, the coffee beans were directly taken from the machine. Original coffee beans of Bandung, West Java.
“This event is supportive, so I tried to follow up. This is outside the lectures. As an implementation of business practice from the theory gained in the classroom,”said Daniel enthusiastically.
Daniel hoped, “(in the future) there will be more campus events.”
“Here (students) learn to try (to do business). So they can improve their skill . From learning (theory) to direct practice, “he concluded.
