After attending the National Exam (UN) of Senior High School (SMA), the students begin to focus on the entrance exam of college or university. Of course, this is of particular concern to those who wish to pursue higher education. Various things ranging from the selection of courses, administrative requirements, information on test registration at the intended university, as well as the completeness of the documents prepared.
This is no exception for Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar) that receive new students annually. Students can participate in the acceptance stages through various channels, both the Interests and Capabilities (PMDK) and the entrance screen (USM) scattered across 17 courses in seven faculties.
The choice of study program (Prodi) in Unpar varies, including Prodi Accounting, Management, Development Economics, DIII Management Company (Faculty of Economics); Science International Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration (FISIP); Engineering Informatics, Mathematics, Physics (FTIS); Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Mechatronics Concentration (FTI); Architecture, Civil Engineering (Faculty of Engineering); Philosophy Science (Faculty of Philosophy); and Law Science (Faculty of Law). In addition, Unpar also has a Graduate School which is divided into 10 master programs and 4 doctoral programs.
USM II Unpar
USM is a path of acceptance through written examinations at a number of universities and universities. Unpar also organizes USM for new students. Unpar opens admissions test through USM for Undergraduate and Diploma III enthusiasts.
Prospective students can choose and determine up to 3 choices of study programs. The 3rd option is limited to specific courses such as; Development Economics, Public Administration Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and DIII Company Management. There are special requirements for the Chemical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Study Programs: one may not bet color blind, evidenced by attaching Not Color Blind Certificate from Optometrist/Ophthalmologist.
Unpar held the USM II on April 29, 2018, at Unpar Bandung and Regina Pacis Bogor High School.
The registration schedule for USM wave II participants will be open until April 24, 2018. Registration as a participant of USM Unpar Program Selection is completed online by going to http://pmb.unpar.ac.id and completing the form provided according to the instructions. As for the requirements to be met by students of USM program selection candidates, including the general requirements, the specific requirements of the selected courses, the completion of registration files, and other aspects.
Scholarships for prospective students
Unpar always strives to provide opportunities for those who need education but are not able to economically and socially. This desire is based on the spirit of the preferential option for the poor, which is one of the seven ethical principles of Spirituality and Unpar Value (SINDU). In this case, Yayasan Unpar always committed to providing fund as a scholarship for Unpar students.
Not only intended for active students, Unpar scholarships are also reserved for prospective students who have the potential and ability to complete their studies but need to receive financial support.
In its implementation, the scholarships are granted in the form of reduced payment obligations for registration and development fees. As a scholarship provider, Unpar does not only provide financial assistance to prospective freshmen. Unpar requires the recipients of the scholarship to join the leading mentoring programs such as rehearsals, seminars, career workshops, and Community Service Education Program (P3M).
A number of the above activities are held in cooperation with the Institute for Human Development (LPH) Unpar. Students are invited to learn more about recognizing, exploring, developing, and optimizing their potential. As for, the type of rehearsal offered such as the spiritual gladiator, intellectual creativity, personality, culture, and leadership training.
Another example is the P3M Unpar. The program that is also coordinated by the LPH aims to increase the sensitivity of students to social issues. The program accommodates Unpar students to grow and develop as individuals as well as members of the community.
Thus, the scholarship recipients gain the development of interpersonal skills and soft skills that are expected to support lecture activities.
