Bisnis.com, Bandung – Ikatan Alumni Universitas Katolik Parahyangan / the Parahyangan Catholic University’s Alumni Association (IKA Unpar) held congress V on Saturday (12/11/2016).
The event featured the end-of period report as well as the succession of the chairman and other trustees of IKA Unpar for the coming 2016-2019 period.
Aknolt K. Pakpahan, the organizing committee chairman of Congress V stated that 350 people came to the event, but only 250 of these had the right to vote.
“Four (individuals) will stand as candidates for the next chairman of IKA Unpar,” Aknolt added.
In the plenary session, four candidates of the next chairman of IKA Unpar (2016-2019) period popped up. They are: Hotman Simbolong from the Faculty of Economics, Bima Arya from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Ilham from the Faculty of Engineering (Architecture) and Antonius Rainier Haryanto from the Faculty of Engineering.
Among the four candidates, Antonius Rainier Haryanto was elected as the chairman the Parahyangan Catholic University’s Alumni Association for the 2016-2019 period.
Antonius Tardia, the chairman of IKA Unpar for the 2012-2015 period also attended the event. He explained that IKA Unpar is a vessel for accommodating the existing potential in a manner that will bring benefit to Unpar and the general public.
One of the standing programs of IKA Unpar is the search for scholarship funds for high-flying students.
In addition, IKA Unpar also provides numerous vacancies for fresh graduates of Unpar. He believed that Unpar’s graduates have good capabilities supported by foreign language skills and applicable knowledge.
